Default gold in bank and others stuffs

when ppl say they have "33 platinum in bank" do they literally mean they put that much in storage, and if so, why? why put money in storage?

and at what point in that game do you start getting drops worth exerpertly salvaging and how do you know they should be expert salvaged? im at LA now.

and lastly, are the items that say they're salvagable the only salgavable items?

They will put all there gold in the storage so it can be shared with there other characters, and becuase you can only hold 100k at a time and a lot of people have more than that (a lot more)

You should use the expert salvage kit on weapons and such that have a prefix or sufix that you want to get from the item as an upgrade item to use on another weapon. Other items can give you a chance to get rare materials when the expert salvage kit is used on it.

For the most part salvagable items are just used for salvaging. Selling them is really the only other thing to do with them unless they are a collectors item (but I dont think they have the salvagable tag on them usually)

Some people dont like holding alot of money. Pesanol prefference. You can get good drops from as soon as you start your character. Just gotta know where. Nearly EVERYTHING is salvageable. if you get a weapon saying "Ebon Fellblade of Fortitude" you could expertslavage out the ebon or fortitude upgrade. Or you wont. its all chance.

People tend to put money in storage so they dont spend it all with no concerns. Also, alot of people bid on items out of game, like in our own Buy and Sell areas. Having extra money around definetly helps with that. One other thing is that Storage accounts are transferable between characters on your accounts. If your new character doesnt have enough money for armor, you can transfer money from another character to that one.

Salvaging items can be for any reason from trying to get an upgrade of an item you dont want to use, to trying to get some Materials out of the item. Usually items that say things like "Title" Sword of "Title or things like that will yield an upgrade, its important to know what upgrades are good and what ones arent. Also make sure you dont accidently salvage a great weapon you can use. The ones marked Highly Salvagable will usually yield alot of normal materials, or a few rare ones. And you always get more out of an item by using an Expert Kit.

you can only hold 100plantinum on your body at a time, so any more than that has to go in storage.

expert salvaging is good if you're trying to get rare crafting materials, if you expert salvage a sword instead of basic salvaging it, you might get a steel ingot instead of an iron one...or you could get silk or linen from a dropped armor or robe instead of cloth. also, if a dropped armor is purple or blue, its almost definately worth expert salvaging as it most likley has a rune of some sort in it. i dont even bother with the basic salvage kit anymore really, i just use the expert one on everything, it really doesnt save you that much money to use a basic one sometimes. this is how i sometimes get lucky and get rare materials and such. also, a purple or gold weapon often has a suffix or prefix, such as "firey axe of fortitude" if you expert salvage it, you will either get the fortitude shaft, or the firey haft..staffs have heads and wraps. this is how if you find a weapon that has max damage or just looks cool, you can mod it and make it even better...thats what i did with my chaos axe.

no, it doesnt have to say salvagable to be salvagable. swords, axes, hammers, staffs..sheilds...just about everything is salvagable. staffs give you wood or ingots, swords ingots or granite, hammers, granite or wood...and who knows what else. i always just salvage everything and horde the materials in my vault. who knows when the prices will skyrocket, or i might need it for armor on a future character. this really saves money in the long run if you ask me.

the only kits i have in my inventory are the expert salvage and the identification kit. and thats just me, you can carry the basic one if you want...dont let me stop ya

I don't use anything but the expert salvage kit.

I don't know for sure but the yields seem to be higher with the expert kit. It seems you get more wood planks, for instance, when you salvage using an expert kit than with a regular kit. Also, you can get rare crafting materials, whereas with a regular kit, you have no change of getting rare materials. Salvaging a couple of rare materials from a couple of items will pay for the expert salavage kit so there really is no reason to use the regular kit.

Just my educated opinion...you can always carry and use both types of kits.

Personally I put all my gold in my storage so that all my characters have access to it. Its much easier that way.

When it comes to salvaging. You can salvage everything but... Collectors items, and raw materials. As for which kit to use. I use expert for all weapons, armors, sheilds, hides. Unless I am really needign the common materials then I use the cheap kit.

It costs you 16gp everytime you use an expert salvage kit and 4gp everytime you use a regular salvage kit w/25 uses from each. Basically for me post Yak I will use a regular salvage kit on everything but colored drops and that will sell for 5gp or less (I've found things that sell near 10gp or more don't bring in enough resources to makeup the loss of using the salvage kits post Yak), at Yaks Bend and beyond I start using expert salvage kits because that is where origionally the expert salvage kits were located, before they made it so easy for everyone to aquire them just about anywhere in the game now.

I've also found specific "class" type armor/robe drops yield more often the rares than the common armor/robe drops. Like Dwarven Armor usually is just regular materials, but, things like Bowman/Necromancer/Wise (things that represent a specific class), will yield some type of rare material if the "chance" is successful. Not saying now you won't "ever" get a rare from the unclassed drops, they are just not as common as the specific class drops from my analysis.
